Schedule & Policies: Chorale & Chamber Singers

SPRINGSING 2026 SCHEDULE:

We’re just around the corner from the start of TCS Spring season. We’ve picked some of the most beautiful music composed for choir this time around. We’ll be featuring composers from Billy Joel to Morten Lauridsen to Jacob Collier, while crossing classical, jazz, and bluegrass borders.

Want to come sing??? It’s going to be a wonderful season of song!

We have 2 adult choirs: Chorale (non-auditioned) and Chamber (auditioned). Music we choose for Chorale is accessible to anyone who’d like to sing. Our Chamber song choices are a little more challenging and require at least some music reading ability.

There is a 3rd option- If you’d like to sing with us, but can’t commit to a whole season of rehearsals, our “Camp” this year will feature World O World by Jacob Collier. Campers attend one half-day rehearsal (Saturday, March 14), then sing the song featured with us at the concerts.

one thing you’ll notice is that it is a lot shorter a rehearsal season.**

* * Where in the Fall, we had 13 rehearsals, Chorale will have 8 this Spring. We’re trying this to help manage the attendance challenge we faced over the last couple of seasons. For this work, we’ll need to be willing to adhere to an attendance policy. With less rehearsals, obviously every one counts and having the full choir from week to week becomes imperative. So, our 2-miss policy will feel more real than it has before. While everyone is expected at all rehearsals, outside of illness or true emergencies, we’ll be able to work with up to 2 planned absences.

Tuition/Dues

● Tuition is due no later than the February 15th rehearsal.
● TCS is a 501c3 non-profit organization that runs primarily on grants from CCAASE and Telluride Foundation. We also rely on donations from the community. Payments to TCS are tax deductible.
● Our standard singer dues/tuition fee is $125 per season. We ask members to place themselves on a sliding scale for tuition, from $125 to $500. We have not raised our tuition for many years, and costs to run TCS are much higher than the revenue we receive. Your help in supporting TCS where you can is much appreciated!
● Credit cards accepted in person at 10/7 and 10/21 rehearsals, or pay by check or cash
● If $125 is out of reach, please speak to a board member to apply for financial assistance on a sliding scale basis. We want everyone to sing regardless of ability to pay…
