Vocal Music Reading:
In these sessions, we will learn how to sight read music, starting with understanding rhythm and pitch notation and progressing to phrasing and dynamics.

Vocal Mechanism Techniques:
These sessions will cover a variety of topics including how to use your voice with varying tonal placements in varying registers. These are meant for the intermediate students who can easily hear and accurately mimic notes and vowel shapes.

FAQs:
Who is the teacher?
• Our youth choirs director, Tagen Kaestner, is currently teaching all lessons to adults and kids.

Can I split my time with another student to lower the cost?
• For our general sessions, we can work in pairs for an additional $20, which you can then split the cost with your lesson-mate. For individual competition sessions, splitting time is not recommended, but accommodations can sometimes be made for younger students if needed. Please reach out to inquire if this is the right fit for you.

How many hours should I expect per session?
• The minimum session length, and the most common, is 1 hour. However, some students request an additional half hour. Please let us know if you are interested in adding time to get more done in any of your sessions.

Do I have to be in the choir to register for private voice lessons?
• You do not have to be in the choir in order to receive private lessons. We offer them to everyone in our community!
