Hello Singers,
I’m super excited to share this program!
What follows below includes some of the most beautiful choral and lyric writing out there today. It will be an honor to bring these messages to our audiences with you!
Chorale:
Wanting Memories – written by Ysaye Barnwell, of Sweet Honey in the Rock (this will be with the kids)- the correct name of this amazing ensemble is Sweet Honey in (not and) the Rock.
Stand By Me – yes, the classic, arranged for choir by Mac Huff
Amazing Grace – Another classic, arranged for choir by Jay Rouse (I’d like to incorporate another audience involvement moment here- stand by for more😊)
Chamber Singers:
Light of a Clear Blue Morning for Women’s voices – Written by Dolly Parton, arranged and sung by The Wailin’ Jennys. (Transcribed for choir by Dalen Stevens)
