WinterSing 2001 Recording

In 2001, John Yankee and the Telluride Choral Society produced a ‘WinterSing’ album over several weeks at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Telluride.  The recording, under the production of Choral Society tenor, Don Cowan, was pressed under his production company, Arelinda Media, and was a massive but rewarding endeavor for all.

The album caught the Celtic feel and sound of WinterSing 2001’s ‘Traditions Near and Far’ presentation, and featured instrumental accompaniment from  Acoustic Medicine, an Irish Jig trio featuring David Homer, bass, John Yankee, hammered dulcimer and Laura Lake, flute.  Greg Hanshaw performed on bagpipe, Ulli Sir Jesse played the Irish harp, Pete Closson, percussion, Val Levy Franzese, cello, Sara Hendrix performed on guitar and fiddle, and Karla Brown and Ali Crockett provided piano accompaniment.
