The Chamber Singers: are an auditioned group of 12-20 singers who meet on Wednesday evenings following the Chorale rehearsals in the Library Program Room. This group requires a high level of commitment and the ability to read and learn music independently. It’s a tougher go, but you’ll find the camaraderie of working together in order to develop a polished, unified sound, is definitely a draw and reward for involvement in this ensemble. Besides WinterSing and SpringSing concerts in conjunction with the above Chorale, participants in Chamber Singers are expected to perform in special fundraising events, and extra rehearsals are sometimes required at the Artistic Director’s discretion, The literature is varied, and challenging and typically includes renaissance madrigals, jazz and contemporary works.
